Sales Engineer HVAC Aftermarket (Maintenance)

About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Sales Engineer HVAC Aftermarket (Maintenance) to join their team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is focused on driving revenue growth by selling maintenance contracts, retrofit solutions, spare parts, and service offerings for HVAC systems. The successful candidate will develop long-term customer relationships, identify service opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction while consistently meeting sales targets.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities for HVAC maintenance contracts (AMC), retrofits, upgrades, and spare parts.
• Conduct site surveys to assess equipment condition and propose suitable maintenance solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with facility managers, consultants, contractors, and end users.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding HVAC system performance and maintenance needs.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments in the HVAC aftermarket sector.
• Identify new business opportunities and emerging customer needs.

Sales Performance and Contract Management

A primary focus of this role is achieving defined sales objectives and managing the full contract lifecycle. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. This includes preparing quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions for maintenance and retrofit projects, as well as negotiating contract terms, pricing, and service scope with customers. Diligent follow-up on proposals is essential to secure orders and ensure timely contract renewals.

Technical Expertise and Collaboration

The role requires a strong understanding of various HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV, package units, and controls. The Sales Engineer will recommend energy-efficient solutions, system upgrades, and performance improvement options to clients. Collaboration with internal service teams is crucial to ensure accurate technical assessments and proper execution of maintenance contracts.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 1-5 years of relevant experience in sales within the HVAC aftermarket sector, specifically focusing on maintenance contracts and service offerings.
