About the Role

Yamama Cement is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Mechanic to join its operational team. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the mechanical integrity and efficiency of production units within the facility, ensuring continuous and safe operations.

Role Overview

The Senior Mechanic will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of mechanical maintenance activities. This includes performing both routine and emergency repairs, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring all tasks align with established policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency mechanical maintenance work in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of production units and ensure they operate within designated operational limits, reporting any observations that may affect equipment efficiency.
• Carry out mechanical repair work such as welding, cutting, and refurbishing replaced parts to ensure their readiness and efficiency.

Operational Compliance and Safety

A critical aspect of this role involves strict adherence to all operational and safety guidelines. The Senior Mechanic must comply with safety procedures before starting any work, including verifying necessary permits and lockout/tagout forms to maintain a secure working environment.

Tool Management and Workplace Standards

• Identify the tools and equipment required for maintenance, assess their readiness, and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure their continuous availability.
• Organize and store maintenance tools in their designated locations, maintain them properly, and ensure proper disposal of maintenance waste.

Reporting and General Duties

The Senior Mechanic will operate under the guidance of a direct supervisor, performing any other tasks assigned to support the overall maintenance objectives and operational continuity of Yamama Cement.
