Role Summary: Senior Projects Manager

Havelock One Interiors is seeking a Senior Projects Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the overall planning, coordination, and control of fast-track fit-out projects from inception to completion. The Senior Projects Manager ensures projects for sectors such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education meet client requirements, are financially viable, completed on-time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. While the office is in Riyadh, projects are located across the country, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and execution of business development strategies.
• Research and build relationships with new clients and attend industry functions.
• Supervise the end-to-end tendering process.
• Identify stakeholders and plan communications.
• Develop project management plans and schedules, ensuring activities are clearly defined.
• Plan procurement in line with project schedules and identify and manage project risks.
• Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, performance requirements, and subcontractor selection.
• Interface with the project team to share best practices and ensure effective resource utilization.
• Implement operations through coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting, and construction.
• Maintain accurate records of construction progress and oversee construction sites, vendors, and trades.
• Analyze and share regular updates on site operations with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain communication with clients and direct project execution, ensuring proper monitoring, coordination, and control.
• Acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
• Conduct and administer procurement, distribute project information, and perform quality assurance and control.
• Manage local municipality and government approvals for project operation and handover.
• Verify and control changes in scope and costs, manage project invoicing, and monitor and control risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in an interior fit-out contracting company.
• Proven track record as a successful leader in project management within fit-out contracting businesses.
• Strong technical, execution, and commercial abilities with sound knowledge of various trades involved in fit-out contracting.
• Ability to effectively manage single or multiple projects from award to handover.
• Academic qualification, preferably a University Degree, in a technical discipline.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Successful track record on projects such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural and multinational market environment.
• Very good knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market, including networks of clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the latest developments and current trends in the fit-out market.
