Senior Project Manager

About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading the strategic direction and successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with a specific focus on mixed-use and commercial developments. The Senior Project Manager will oversee projects from the early concept stages through to completion, operating with a high degree of autonomy and acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project set-up, including contract finalisation, internal alignment, and team mobilisation.
• Manage the contract, ensuring compliance with key obligations and deliverables, and define project scope across all disciplines.
• Lead the appointment and coordination of sub-consultants, including scope, fees, and agreements.
• Identify and manage changes to scope, leading variation preparation, negotiation, and agreement with clients.
• Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, contractors, end users, and key stakeholders, providing clear leadership and fostering a high-performing team culture.
• Lead client engagement, workshops, and presentations, including executive-level reporting.
• Develop and proactively manage detailed project programmes, identifying and mitigating delivery risks.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination from Concept to IFC and provide construction support.
• Establish and lead the project Risk Register, ensuring regular review, active management, and escalation of critical risks.
• Manage all project commercial aspects, including budget management, financial reporting, invoicing, and cost tracking.
• Oversee project delivery through to completion, coordinating phased handovers and ensuring smooth transitions between project phases.
• Lead project close-out, ensuring all deliverables, approvals, and documentation are complete.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects, particularly within mixed-use and commercial developments.
• Proven ability to manage projects from early concept through to completion.
