Software Engineer Full Stack

About the Role

Moyasar Financial Company is seeking a Software Engineer – Full Stack to join its Engineering team. This full-time role involves contributing to the development and enhancement of payment products and systems. The successful candidate will work across the full application stack, utilizing Ruby on Rails as the core framework, to develop backend services, APIs, web applications, and user-facing features.

Technical Environment

The role involves working with a range of technologies to build reliable and scalable solutions. Key technologies include Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who is adept at problem-solving, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications and features across Moyasar’s product suite.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and improve frontend features and user-facing web applications.
• Design, build, maintain, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL for data model design and efficient database query writing.
• Utilize Redis and Sidekiq for caching, background processing, and asynchronous jobs.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Write and maintain automated tests, including unit and integration tests.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, application issues, and performance problems.
• Contribute to improving application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver new features.
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, and Agile development processes.
• Document technical processes, system changes, and important development decisions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and development practices.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and software engineering practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience developing full-stack web applications.
• Good understanding of MVC architecture and software engineering principles.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with Redis.
• Experience with background job processing using Sidekiq.
• Experience with frontend web development.
• Experience with Git and version-control workflows.
• Experience writing automated tests.
