About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) | مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي is seeking a Staff Nurse I to join their team in Medina. This full-time position is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, and meeting established standards of nursing practice and performance. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide total patient care as assigned, adhering to core standards of patient care, established policies, and evidence-based practices.
  • Assume accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, including discharge planning for each patient.
  • Contribute to decreasing length of stay and waiting times in line with unit-specific goals.
  • Collaborate with Case Management to achieve patient care goals.
  • Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
  • Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and/or reductions in supply inventory to the Head Nurse or designee.
  • Demonstrate collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships to achieve continuous improvement in quality patient care.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and families.
  • Identify ideas to improve patient care quality and issues that could negatively affect patient care outcomes, utilizing the professional practice framework.
  • Promote a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying areas of risk to the Head Nurse or designee.
  • Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Contribute to the achievement of cost efficiency savings on the unit.
  • Maintain awareness of resource utilization, exercising care in the ordering and use of staff, equipment, and materials.
  • Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.
  • Lead unit-based Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
  • Participate in new staff and nursing student orientation aimed at developing competence and performance.
  • Assist in maintaining a suitable learning environment and act as a preceptor/mentor in the supervision and teaching of nursing students and new staff.
  • Demonstrate transcultural principles in nursing practice.
  • Contribute to special projects/assignments linked to nursing strategic priorities and the professional practice model as assigned.
  • Assist in promoting and sharing knowledge via mentorship in line with relevant research and evidence-based practice.
  • Follow all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Participate in self and others' education, training, and development, as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in nursing is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies while in charge or acting as a shift resource/team leader.

This is a full-time position within a hospital setting, requiring adherence to established standards of nursing practice and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
