STAFF NURSE I

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah is seeking a Staff Nurse I. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, and adhering to established standards of nursing practice and performance. The role requires demonstrating leadership competencies when in charge or acting as a shift resource or team leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care as assigned, following core standards and established policies.
• Assume accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, including discharge planning.
• Contribute to decreasing patient length of stay and waiting times, collaborating with Case Management to achieve unit-specific goals.
• Document all relevant information accurately, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and supply inventory reductions to the Head Nurse or designee.
• Demonstrate collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships to achieve continuous improvement in patient care quality.
• Act as an advocate for patients and families, identifying ideas to improve care quality and issues that could negatively affect patient outcomes.
• Promote a safe environment and patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying risks to the Head Nurse or designee.
• Comply with policies for personal and patient safety and for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
• Contribute to cost efficiency savings on the unit, maintaining awareness of resource utilization.
• Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.
• Lead unit-based Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
• Participate in new staff and nursing student orientation, acting as a preceptor or mentor.
• Demonstrate transcultural principles in nursing practice.
• Contribute to special projects and assignments linked to nursing strategic priorities.
• Assist in promoting and sharing knowledge through mentorship, aligned with research and evidence-based practice.
• Follow all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.

Experience Required

Candidates for the Staff Nurse I position should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in nursing.
