Supervisor Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Laundry to oversee laundry operations and ensure efficiency and quality. This full-time position involves managing inventory, maintaining equipment, and training staff to uphold company standards. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete inventory of uniforms and linens, and conduct monthly inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to management.
• Train employees on all laundry procedures, including safety protocols and equipment operation.
• Verify that laundry requests are completed for each department as needed.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery.
• Inspect linens and terry for damage.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with others and prepare accurate written documents.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals; listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent is preferred.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.

The Supervisor-Laundry will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. This role is integral to maintaining the operational efficiency and high standards of the laundry department at Sheraton.
