Supervisor Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Laundry to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves overseeing laundry operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of service. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory of uniforms, linens, and laundry supplies on a monthly basis.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance requirements, and safety hazards to management.
• Train employees on all laundry procedures, including safety protocols and equipment operation.
• Verify the completion of laundry requests for all departments as needed.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery.
• Inspect linens and terry for any damage.

Operational Duties

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others, and prepare accurate written documents.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new methods to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
