Job Description

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a full-time Supervisor-Systems to join its team. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to computer software and systems, providing technical guidance, and implementing process improvements. The Supervisor-Systems will also be responsible for managing and coordinating telecommunications activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems concerning computer software and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to address business problems.
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements.
  • Operate computer and peripheral equipment by entering commands and activating controls.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, support, manage, and maintain application programs and user accounts.
  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions, and installation activities.
  • Train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
  • Manage and coordinate planning, design, operations, maintenance, and resource allocation for telecommunications activities, including client/server support and strategic planning.
  • Consult with and advise others on administrative policies, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No prior supervisory experience is required for this role.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visually verify information.
  • Proficiency in entering and locating information using computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
