Starlinks is seeking a Treasury Accountant to join its finance team. This full-time position is integral to managing the company's daily treasury operations and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

The Role of Treasury Accountant

The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day treasury functions, including the processing and verification of payments, conducting timely bank reconciliations, and coordinating various loan-related activities. This role is essential for maintaining robust internal controls, ensuring adherence to company policies, and supporting efficient cash management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Processing & Verification: Upload and execute vendor, employee, and other payments within the banking system, ensuring all supporting documentation and approvals are thoroughly verified. Adhere strictly to internal controls and approval workflows prior to payment release.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances. Update the daily cash position and promptly investigate and resolve any identified discrepancies.
• Loan Coordination: Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and the group Treasury for activities such as loan drawdowns, repayments, and interest settlements. Maintain precise records of all loan agreements, schedules, and related documentation.
• Cash Flow Monitoring: Assist in monitoring daily cash positions and contribute to forecasting short-term liquidity requirements. Support the treasury team in optimizing cash utilization across the organization.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and audit requirements. Prepare and submit periodic treasury reports for management review.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with internal departments including Finance, Procurement, and various Business Units to ensure seamless payment processes. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a treasury or accounting role, demonstrating a solid understanding of treasury operations and financial controls.
