As a crucial part of our logistics team, the Transportation Officer will oversee and manage the efficient transportation of goods to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with safety regulations. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about logistics, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation activities for the timely and efficient movement of goods.
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for accurate dispatch and delivery operations.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in route planning to minimize costs and improve delivery times.
- Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to resolve transportation-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and documentation.
- Support the Transportation Supervisor in implementing process improvements and policies.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of FIFO, FEFO, and SLA requirements ensuring proper shipment sequencing and timely deliveries.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
