About the Senior Instrument Technician Role

TASNEE is seeking a Sr Technician II Instrument for a full-time position in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This role is responsible for supporting instrumentation activities across the plant's construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases. The position ensures the reliability, accuracy, and safe operation of instrumentation systems while adhering to company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute instrumentation installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Interpret and modify technical documents including P&IDs, loop diagrams, specification sheets, and hook-up drawings.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters, as well as control valves.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs and machine monitoring systems like Bentley Nevada.
• Perform maintenance on instrumentation equipment, including control valves, gauges, and analyzers.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Effectively use and maintain instrumentation tools, fittings, and testing equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient execution of maintenance and project activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Instrument or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in the Petrochemical or Oil & Gas sectors.

Essential Technical Skills

• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills in instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Good understanding of control system logic, including open loop, closed loop, and safety overrides.
• High attention to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently complete tasks to a high standard.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Work Context

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. The role involves supporting plant operations through hands-on technical expertise in instrumentation.
