About the Senior HSE Specialist Role

وورلي بارسونز is seeking a Senior HSE Specialist to provide embedded Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership and assurance to project teams in Al Khobar. This full-time position involves ensuring strict adherence to Saudi Aramco standards, local regulatory requirements, and international HSE best practices within the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Senior HSE Specialist will be employed by وورلي بارسونز and seconded to Saudi Aramco. The role is critical in managing contractor HSE performance, conducting thorough risk assessments for high-risk activities, and implementing appropriate control measures. Daily monitoring of offshore safety aspects is a key function, alongside ensuring contractor compliance with safety programs and training initiatives. The position requires active participation in safety department assignments and performing specific duties as needed.

• Monitor all aspects of Offshore Safety on a daily basis.
• Oversee contractor compliance with the Safety Program and Training.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to the assigned safety program aspects.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor work areas.
• Perform specific duties as assigned within the safety departments.
• Act as an HSE advisor to the Aramco PMT, promoting a strong safety culture and effective hazard management.
• Ensure compliance with Life-Saving Rules.
• Conduct incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Manage HSE reporting and emergency preparedness.

Authority and Intervention

This role carries the authority to intervene and stop unsafe work practices. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, including government regulations, standards, and policies, is essential for performing duties safely and effectively. Availability at all times in case of emergency is a requirement of the position.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position must possess a Bachelor’s Degree. Additionally, a Nebosh or equivalent certificate is required.

Experience and Skills

Extensive Oil & Gas construction experience is a prerequisite for this role. A strong understanding of Saudi Aramco HSE systems is also necessary. Maintaining knowledge of safety policies and procedures is crucial for safe performance of assigned duties.
