About the Role

JD Logistics is seeking a Customs Clearance Coordinator to manage customs clearance activities in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role ensures that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted promptly to facilitate timely shipment release.

Key Responsibilities

Review and organize commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other compliance documents.
Coordinate with licensed customs brokers to complete customs declarations.
Utilize Saudi customs and compliance platforms, including Fasah, Bayan, and SABER, to track declarations, approvals, duty and tax calculations, and shipment release status.
Verify HS codes, customs valuation, country of origin, and applicable certification requirements to ensure compliance with ZATCA, SASO, and other relevant Saudi government regulations.
Follow up on customs inspections, shipment holds, declaration discrepancies, and missing documents.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and minimize delays and demurrage costs.
Coordinate import permits and regulatory approvals with relevant authorities, including SFDA, CITC, and GACA, according to shipment requirements.
Maintain accurate customs records and supporting documents, and reconcile clearance charges, duties, taxes, and invoices to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
Monitor changes in Saudi customs regulations and policies, identify clearance risks and operational issues, and support process improvements to enhance clearance efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience in customs clearance or a related field.
Familiarity with Saudi customs regulations and compliance platforms such as Fasah, Bayan, and SABER.
Strong understanding of HS codes, customs valuation, and country of origin rules.
Ability to manage and organize various customs and compliance documents.
Experience coordinating with customs brokers and government authorities.
