About Carrier and the Role

Carrier is a leading worldwide provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions. We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Saudi National HVAC Technician to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems for our customers.

Role Overview

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of HVAC equipment. This role requires strict compliance with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, company procedures, and all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) requirements, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and scheduled maintenance on HVAC and air-conditioning units.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and maintain damaged or defective HVAC components, including internal electrical and electronic control systems.
• Clean coils and blowers, and inspect motors, belts, belt tension, and related components.
• Follow established standard processes, procedures, and accurately understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communicate with customers regarding the nature and progress of work, outstanding issues, technical findings, and recommended improvements.
• Maintain accurate daily timesheets, job cards, service records, and other required documentation and reports.
• Estimate required labor hours, materials, tools, and equipment for assigned jobs.
• Utilize computers, mobile devices, and relevant applications for service reporting and work-related activities.
• Work independently when required, demonstrating sound judgment, and collaborate effectively as part of an integrated technical team.
• Safely rig and properly set up gantries and lifting arrangements for HVAC equipment and other heavy machinery.
• Manage and organize machinery and tools, including pickup, delivery, usage, and inventory.
• Identify situations requiring escalation and promptly seek guidance or additional support from the Supervisor or Manager.

Safety and Quality Standards

• Maintain a strong safety-first approach in all work activities and identify potential hazards and risks.
• Comply with all company EH&S policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
• Follow manufacturer recommendations, applicable industry standards, and company quality requirements.
• Keep customer sites clean, safe, and orderly after completing work.
• Attend and actively participate in EH&S and technical training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be a Saudi National.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in HVAC/Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• 2-4 years of relevant hands-on experience in HVAC.
