Role Overview

The Senior Manager Governance will manage governance delivery for an assigned corporate portfolio. This involves maintaining governance structures, ensuring policy compliance, and overseeing delegation of authority arrangements. The role includes people management responsibilities for the Group Governance (Portfolios) team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development of Section or Unit plans and KPIs, ensuring alignment with departmental strategies.
• Lead the preparation of annual operating plans and detailed budgets for the Section or Unit.
• Organize the implementation of strategic projects, process changes, and initiatives within the Section or Unit.
• Supervise adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor performance against agreed targets and budgets, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Improve local processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Monitor governance arrangements, including committee support, decision rights, and governance calendars.
• Track policy compliance, adoption, review dates, and exceptions within the assigned portfolio.
• Verify delegation of authority schedules against approved limits.
• Review governance committee papers, agendas, minutes, and decision logs to ensure required standards.
• Ensure completeness and auditability of governance records and registers.
• Monitor conflict of interest and disclosure declarations.
• Review governance compliance, escalating deviations to the section leader.
• Tailor governance guidance and templates to portfolio requirements.
• Review governance assessments and maturity reviews.
• Liaise with the Legal Division on portfolio-level statutory matters.
• Improve governance compliance, records status, and outstanding actions.
• Monitor delivery status, risks, and resource requirements, escalating issues that affect timelines or standards.

People Management

• Manage day-to-day people activities, including work allocation, attendance oversight, and policy adherence.
• Lead performance management for team members, setting objectives and providing feedback.
• Organize learning and development opportunities, identifying skill gaps and recommending training.
• Supervise recruitment and onboarding within the Section or Unit.
• Monitor employee engagement, wellbeing, and conduct, addressing issues promptly.
• Improve team communication through regular meetings and open dialogue.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based in Riyadh, with regular travel required to Red Sea Global destinations and operating sites.
