About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking an Assessment Specialist for a full-time position. This role is central to the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the comprehensive assessment strategy for the PhD Biomedical Sciences program. The specialist will work closely with academic leadership to ensure robust and effective assessment frameworks are in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research to plan, design, and manage the assessment framework for the PhD Biomedical Sciences program.
• Participate in Assessment Committee meetings, providing secretariat support including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with course instructors, thesis supervisors, and examination boards at both KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.
• Assist in the formulation and updating of assessment policies, examination regulations, and academic standards documentation.
• Track, compile, and securely file student grades, qualifying examination outcomes, and research milestones within a centralized database.
• Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment data to inform program quality reviews and academic improvement initiatives.

Program Quality and Accreditation

• Lead the preparation of assessment-related documentation required for accreditation submissions to relevant national and international bodies, such as the NCAAA.
• Provide training and guidance to faculty members on best practices in assessment design, rubric development, and fair grading methodologies.
• Design and maintain assessment blueprints that accurately map examination content to PhD program learning outcomes across all coursework and research phases.
• Lead psychometric analysis of examination results, including evaluation of item difficulty, discrimination indices, and reliability statistics, and prepare analytical reports for program review.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Master’s degree or equivalent in Training & Education, Health Administration, Medical Education, Health Education, or a closely related discipline is required.
• A minimum of four (4) years of related experience is required for this position.
