About the Role
Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director for its Cost Management services to support multi-sector projects in Riyadh. This senior leadership position requires strong strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders. The role involves working closely with the Commercial Director to implement strategic objectives and serving as the primary client interface to ensure project delivery meets client objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic cost advice at the project conception stage, including evaluating different approaches to achieve client objectives.
- Develop cost plans, contract documentation, budgetary estimates, bills of quantities, and cost option studies.
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluate tenders, prepare tender reports, and review contractor valuations and other relevant project documentation.
- Critically analyze and challenge project requirements and deliverables to identify creative solutions and alternatives for clients.
- Manage project information flow between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications.
- Lead client and consultant interactions across all project stages.
- Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Motivate team members to achieve positive client outcomes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Undertake line management responsibilities as required and advise on resource procurement.
- Ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction consulting, with a focus on cost engineering.
- Professional RICS qualification.
- Demonstrated experience across all aspects of cost management, from feasibility studies to final account close-out.
- Experience managing large-scale or international commercial development projects.
- Proven team management experience.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
