About the Automation Engineer Role

AIQU is seeking experienced Automation Engineers to support industrial automation projects. This contract position is based in the Riyadh Region, specifically in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a professional with a strong background in industrial automation and a proven ability to manage projects from inception through completion.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will be instrumental in the successful execution of industrial automation projects. This involves a comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of automation solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the full project lifecycle, from initial design and engineering phases.
• Developing and implementing PLC/SCADA programming.
• Conducting thorough testing and commissioning of automation systems.
• Managing site installation activities.
• Providing troubleshooting and technical support.
• Ensuring smooth startup and ongoing support for implemented systems.
• Facilitating the final project handover to stakeholders.

Technical Expertise Required

Candidates must possess hands-on experience with specific industrial automation technologies and protocols. This includes:

• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs.
• Experience in developing and managing systems using FactoryTalk SCADA.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and Fieldbus Communication.

Experience and Qualifications

This role requires a seasoned professional with a substantial track record in industrial automation. The minimum experience requirement is:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of industrial automation.
• Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, as detailed in the responsibilities section.
