About the Role

Classic Volkswagen of Gastonia is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Automotive Dealership AP & AR Specialist to join its accounting team in North Carolina. This full-time position involves managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions supporting the dealership's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and accurately code vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner.
• Manage customer account billing and collections, ensuring prompt payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain precise records of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Regularly reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts.
• Prepare and process monthly statements and aging reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address and resolve billing and payment issues.
• Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial transactions.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable is required, preferably within an automotive dealership or a related industry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficiency with accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary; additional education in accounting or finance is considered a plus.
