About the Business Continuity Expert Role

stc is seeking a Business Continuity Expert to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 1-3 years of experience and focuses on supporting the implementation and maintenance of business continuity practices to ensure operational resilience and the continuity of critical business services. The role is integral to minimizing operational disruptions and supporting recovery objectives.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Business Continuity Expert will play a key role in supporting the organization's business continuity framework. This involves assisting with planning, documentation, exercise coordination, and readiness monitoring. The primary objective is to ensure that critical business functions can continue with minimal interruption during unforeseen events and that recovery processes are effective and aligned with approved policies and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the business continuity framework, plans, and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities to identify critical business functions, dependencies, and recovery requirements.
  • Support the development, review, and periodic update of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and related documentation.
  • Coordinate business continuity testing exercises, simulations, and readiness assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery plans.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions resulting from continuity exercises, audits, and assessments.
  • Maintain business continuity records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with business units to collect continuity-related information and ensure plans remain current and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Support awareness and training activities related to business continuity across the organization.
  • Assist in monitoring business continuity risks and escalating potential continuity concerns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on business continuity readiness, testing results, and improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or a related field. A foundational understanding of business continuity principles, frameworks, and best practices is essential. The role requires the ability to support planning, analysis, and documentation processes effectively.
