About the Role
Amazon is seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) business in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey (MEATR) region. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on managing Delivery Service Partner accounts. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to innovate and transform processes for launching new delivery programs across the AMET region, creating opportunities for Delivery Service Partners. This position requires some regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and vetting process for Delivery Service Partners in Saudi Arabia.
- Launch new programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and report on progress against key objectives.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Last Mile Delivery methods and work with the Partner Acquisition Business Development Team to implement programs for Delivery Service Partners across the region.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand program requirements, launch timelines, and challenges, developing processes to meet the team's roadmap for launching Delivery Partners within the MEATR DSP Team.
- Build and maintain collaborative, influential relationships with Product, Program, Field teams, and other critical stakeholders to gather information, establish action plans, and monitor execution for improved program delivery.
- Communicate core deliverables and updates to key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing program strategies and plans, driving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables, charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, and array formulas.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading Arabic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building processes, project management, and developing schedules.
- Experience negotiating complex deals with customers and partners, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
- Experience negotiating license or business development agreements.
- Prior experience in business development or sales roles with a focus on negotiating deals.
Work Environment and Experience
This role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The position is a full-time opportunity located in Riyadh. The work involves collaboration across various internal teams and requires some travel within the region.
