About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a CAD Operator to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves producing accurate and detailed CAD drawings to support the design and construction of power utility projects.

Role Overview

The CAD Operator will work closely with engineers and designers to develop various project documentation, including plan and profile drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, and as-built documentation. This role requires adherence to utility standards, project requirements, and applicable codes to ensure the quality and accuracy of all drafted materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise CAD drawings for overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines, substations, and associated civil/site works such as duct banks, manholes, and vaults.
• Develop plan, profile, section, detail, and schematic drawings based on engineer and designer markups.
• Create and maintain drawing templates, title blocks, standard details, and symbol libraries in accordance with company and client standards.
• Convert conceptual sketches and field notes into clear construction drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with client and utility CAD standards, company drafting procedures, and applicable codes.
• Perform self-checks of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Incorporate markups, comments, and revisions from quality reviews in a timely manner.
• Organize and manage CAD files, ensuring correct version control and storage.
• Prepare and update drawing lists and registers for submission packages.
• Produce and package drawing sets for design submissions, permit applications, and as-built records.
• Assist in developing as-built drawings based on field redlines and survey information.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project staff to obtain information and resolve drafting issues.
• Attend design coordination meetings and provide input on drafting requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure integrated and clash-free drawings.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma in drafting, CAD technology, engineering technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 6 years of CAD drafting experience.
• At least 5 years of experience specifically in power utilities, electrical infrastructure, or related fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software used by the organization.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves collaboration with engineers, designers, project managers, and field staff, as well as interaction with external stakeholders such as clients and contractors.
