About the Role

Land Sterling, a leading real estate and asset advisory firm, is seeking a Civil Design Auditing Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is integral to ensuring that proposed developments meet all regulatory and technical requirements prior to permit issuance.

Role Overview

The Civil Design Auditing Engineer is responsible for the thorough review, assessment, and validation of building permit applications and associated technical submissions from engineering offices. The primary objective is to guarantee full compliance with approved planning regulations, building codes, engineering standards, and statutory authority requirements. This role provides critical independent technical assurance, supporting compliant development and risk mitigation within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and audit engineering drawings across relevant disciplines.
• Verify design compliance with approved standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Review technical specifications for consistency with drawings and contracts.
• Identify design gaps, conflicts, or constructability issues.
• Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, statutory regulations, and approvals.
• Verify the implementation of quality management systems (ISO, project QA/QC plans).
• Confirm compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, where applicable.
• Identify technical and regulatory risks.
• Prepare structured audit reports, detailing findings and recommendations.
• Maintain comprehensive audit records, evidence logs, and compliance matrices.
• Present audit findings to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Track the closure of audit observations.
• Liaise effectively with engineering consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Facilitate the resolution of audit findings and technical disputes.
• Support management decision-making with objective technical input.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical auditing.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and audit procedures.
• Professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is a mandatory requirement.
