Role Overview: Construction Manager (Mega Civil Project)

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join its Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is within the Infrastructure Division and focuses on large-scale Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, specifically involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a designated construction package and ensuring its successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the assigned construction package, including following up on Contractor schedules.
• Allocate responsibilities for the Site team and delegate work effectively.
• Anticipate deviations and proactively mitigate the impact of unforeseen issues.
• Ensure the application of best practices and instruct surveillance activities.
• Achieve established Quality standards and implement HSE Engineers' recommendations.
• Verify the execution of works and oversee logistical requirements for the package.
• Meet regularly with Contractors, third parties, and other managers to report on progress.
• Set targets, objectives, and responsibilities for all supervised staff.
• Regularly review timings, budget, labor, risk, and project plans to maintain project schedule.
• Set and agree upon works acceptance criteria.
• Conduct site visits to inspect work, check materials, and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, particularly on large-scale civil engineering and transportation projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in projects involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels within urban environments.
• Must be based in Riyadh.
• Possession of a valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership.
• For non-Saudi candidates, a transferable Iqama is required.

This role involves working in both an office setting and directly on construction sites.
