About the Role

Elm Company is seeking a Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on supporting the management, operation, and optimization of Elm’s server and virtualization infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. The primary objective is to ensure the high availability, stability, scalability, and operational resilience of critical production services, contributing to the organization’s core infrastructure platforms and modernization initiatives in alignment with Elm’s technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Server & Virtualization Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain physical servers, virtualized environments, and supporting infrastructure platforms. This includes ensuring availability, stability, and performance, executing lifecycle activities such as installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management, and system hardening, and monitoring infrastructure capacity to recommend improvements.
• Data Center Operations Support: Support day-to-day operations of data center infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. This involves performing routine infrastructure health checks, proactively addressing operational issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and contributing to a stable and resilient production environment.
• Infrastructure Monitoring & Incident Management: Monitor infrastructure services and respond to alerts, incidents, and service disruptions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis, supporting incident, problem, and change management processes, maintaining operational records, and ensuring timely escalation of critical issues.
• Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Support: Support the administration and operation of cloud infrastructure services and hybrid environments. This involves assisting in integrating cloud and on-premises platforms, monitoring infrastructure utilization, performance, and service availability, and participating in cloud enablement and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Backup, Recovery & Data Protection Services: Manage operations across on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments, ensure proper utilization and performance of cloud resources, and support the implementation of cloud-related initiatives and services.
• Infrastructure Automation & Optimization: Implement automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. This includes supporting infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and standardization initiatives, identifying opportunities for performance tuning and optimization, and contributing to continuous service improvement.
• Infrastructure Governance & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure operations comply with established technical standards and operational procedures. This involves supporting internal and external audit activities, assisting in identifying and mitigating infrastructure-related risks, and maintaining accurate infrastructure inventories, configurations, and operational documentation.
• Technical Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and operations teams to ensure service stability. Provide technical support for infrastructure-related projects, share technical knowledge and operational practices, and contribute to strengthening operational readiness.
• Policies, Processes & Procedures Adherence: Follow and enforce all relevant departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures. Ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner, and comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Information Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with information security policies and standards. Maintain secure infrastructure environments and access controls, and support the implementation of security controls and risk mitigation measures.

Required Experience and Skills

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in managing and optimizing server and virtualization infrastructure.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proven ability in infrastructure administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with automation tools and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Understanding of infrastructure governance, compliance standards, and risk mitigation.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with diverse technical teams.

The Consultant will play a crucial role in maintaining Elm’s core infrastructure platforms, actively working to reduce operational risks and enhance service continuity. This position supports key infrastructure modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with Elm’s broader technology strategy and operational objectives.
