Role Summary

Oliver is seeking a Copywriter to join its full-time team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a professional who can quickly translate trends into compelling, platform-native copy. The Copywriter will produce content across various formats, including captions, hooks, calls to action, community responses, campaign lines, and longer brand narratives, always mindful of platform requirements, audience behavior, and the cultural context of the GCC region. This position involves maintaining the client's tone of voice and collaborating closely with Creative, Strategy, Social, and Production leads to develop copy that performs effectively at scale and in real-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Write platform-native copy in both Arabic (Saudi-localized) and English, covering hooks, captions, CTAs, headlines, and extended brand storytelling.
• Lead transcreation efforts to adapt campaign concepts and messaging across languages while preserving original intent, tone, and cultural resonance.
• Maintain editorial quality and consistent tone of voice across all written outputs.
• Produce reactive and planned content at a rapid pace, moving efficiently from trend identification to concept development and final posting.
• Collaborate with social strategists, social media managers, and creative directors to ensure copy is platform-native and creator-friendly.
• Manage rapid-turn briefs and content calendars while upholding brand integrity and community tone.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate ideation and drafting processes, and develop and refine bilingual prompting techniques.
• Edit, optimize, and localize AI-generated outputs to align with brand voice, platform context, and Saudi/GCC relevance.
• Define and enforce quality-control processes for all AI-assisted writing.
• Stay informed on GCC cultural trends, platform shifts, and audience behavior, using these insights to shape copy.
• Apply performance data and learnings to iterate copy approaches and improve effectiveness.
• Contribute to competitive and cultural analysis to identify creative opportunities and differentiation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of professional copywriting experience, with demonstrable social-first studio or agency experience in a fast-paced, real-time content environment.
• A strong bilingual portfolio (Arabic and English) showcasing platform-native social work and measurable impact where possible.
• For Arabic proficiency: Must be a Saudi national or deeply localized to Saudi Arabia, possessing native or near-native written and spoken proficiency with a deep understanding of Saudi register, dialect nuance, and cultural context.
• For English proficiency: Advanced written and spoken proficiency, capable of maintaining brand tone and quality across both languages.
• Proven ability to work at pace, managing multiple briefs and rapid turnarounds without sacrificing craft or accuracy.
• Demonstrable transcreation expertise, adapting ideas across languages and markets while preserving intent, tone, and cultural resonance.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Platform fluency across Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and YouTube Shorts, with an intuitive sense for hooks, formats, and optimal content length.
• Strong editorial judgment, impeccable bilingual grammar, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with social studio tools and workflows, including CMS, scheduling platforms, and collaborative creative platforms.
• Understanding of GCC regulatory and advertising standards.
