About the Role

FAENA is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of Faena Wadi Safar in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh. This full-time position requires a strategic financial leader to ensure the financial health and transparency of the development, both during its pre-opening phase and beyond.

Role Overview

As the Director of Finance, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy and operations for Faena Wadi Safar. You will serve as a key financial steward, working closely with the General Manager, Directors, and ownership to translate financial insights into actionable decisions that support the project's artistic vision, operational precision, and sustainable growth. The role involves leading all financial activities with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the financial strategy for Faena Wadi Safar, aligning with operational and business objectives.
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to leadership and ownership.
• Lead pre-opening financial planning, including budget development, capital expenditure allocation, and operational forecasting.
• Establish and maintain financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, local regulations, and corporate standards.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian laws, tax obligations, and audit requirements.
• Partner with department heads to monitor budgets, manage costs, and enhance operational performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader, preferably within luxury hospitality, resorts, or complex mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrated expertise in pre-opening financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Strategic thinking, attention to detail, and commercial acumen are essential.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong advantage.
