Introduction to Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya, a leading entertainment, sports, and cultural destination in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Director Supplier Relationship Management Transport DA. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and is integral to supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the efficient delivery of world-class projects. The role focuses on establishing resilient supply chain and supplier relationship management within the critical transport sector.

Role Overview and Strategic Purpose

The Director Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) leads and manages supplier relationships specifically within the transport domain. This involves overseeing supplier performance, mitigating risks, and fostering strategic partnerships to achieve Qiddiya's ambitious goals. The role is responsible for positioning the Transport Business Unit (TBU) as a disciplined and collaborative client across a procurement pipeline exceeding SAR 30 billion. It establishes and leads a structured SRM framework to strengthen strategic supplier engagement, enhance performance transparency, manage supply chain risk, and drive long-term value across major infrastructure packages. This position plays a critical leadership role in enhancing market confidence and supporting successful procurement and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a formal SRM framework, including supplier segmentation, governance structures, and executive oversight.
  • Lead proactive market engagement initiatives, such as an annual TBU Industry Briefing, to communicate pipeline visibility, procurement strategy, and governance expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Central Procurement team to ensure strong alignment, transparency, and coordination across procurement efforts.
  • Establish and manage structured supplier performance scorecards for major contracts.
  • Facilitate quarterly executive-level performance reviews with strategic suppliers.
  • Identify and manage strategic supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, financial health, long-lead items, and concentration risk.
  • Partner with Procurement, Commercial, Risk, and Project Controls to integrate supplier insights into procurement strategies and risk registers.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned forums, innovation workshops, and structured performance improvement plans.
  • Provide market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and long-lead procurement planning.
  • Support dispute avoidance through early intervention and structured supplier engagement.
  • Develop executive dashboards providing visibility of supplier performance trends and systemic risk themes.
  • Act as the executive interface between TBU and strategic suppliers.
  • Partner with Project Directors and Procurement leads on major package delivery.
  • Engage with industry bodies and supply chain partners to enhance TBU's reputation.
  • Provide clear and structured reporting to the Executive Director DMO and senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in supplier relationship management, supply chain, or procurement, with a focus on the transport sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing SRM frameworks and leading strategic supplier engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage complex supply chain risks and drive performance improvements.

Key Objectives and Impact

The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving several key objectives for Qiddiya. These include the full implementation of a formal SRM framework across TBU, the successful delivery of an annual Industry Briefing, and measurable improvements in supplier performance metrics across major packages. The role is expected to contribute to a reduction in repeat performance issues and enhance market confidence and competitive tension in procurements.
