About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking an Engagement Manager for the Prototyping AI and Customer Engineering (PACE) team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves working at the intersection of business strategy and emerging technology, focusing on generative AI, agentic systems, and cloud-native architectures. The Engagement Manager will serve as the primary contact for customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, assisting enterprises in transforming their ideas into technology proof points on AWS.

Role Context and Team

The PACE team is AWS's hands-on customer innovation unit, collaborating directly with enterprise customers to develop prototypes that mitigate transformation risks and accelerate adoption. This role is based in Riyadh and supports customers across KSA and the wider GCC region. The Engagement Manager will work alongside account teams, specialist organizations, and partners to drive workload adoption. The team operates on a model where Engagement Managers define opportunities, and Prototyping Architects develop the technology, working together to deliver tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage a pipeline of innovation opportunities across KSA and the GCC, identifying areas where generative AI and cloud-native architecture can provide value.
Rigorously qualify opportunities by assessing business outcomes, customer commitment, and paths to production, allocating resources effectively.
Scope engagements by defining clear, time-boxed prototypes with specific success criteria, based on customer outcomes.
Drive engagements from initiation to completion, coordinating customer developers, AWS architects, and partners, while mitigating risks and ensuring demonstrated value.
Advise senior leaders, guiding executives through technology shifts and supporting investment decisions.
Scale successful approaches by documenting and sharing repeatable patterns within the global PACE community.
Represent customer insights internally, providing feedback to AWS service teams and product roadmaps.

Required Experience

2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
Experience in navigating ambiguity and making decisions in evolving technology landscapes.
Demonstrated ability to earn trust with C-suite and technical leaders.
Experience in shaping, qualifying, and driving technology engagements from initial concept to working prototype.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and involves supporting customers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region. The position requires collaboration with Prototyping Architects and engagement with various internal and external stakeholders, including account teams, specialist organizations, and partners.
