About the Role

Agile Business Solutions LLP is seeking an Internal Auditor for a contractual position based in Riyadh. This role involves supporting risk-based audit engagements across various sectors, including financial services, real estate, education, and corporate entities within Saudi Arabia and the GCC. The position is for a duration of 6 months, concluding on December 31, 2026. Candidates should anticipate potential onsite travel to Riyadh for 3-4 months during the contract period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute risk-based internal audit engagements across assigned business processes and functions.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, interviews, and control testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Document findings, root causes, and management action plans in structured audit working papers.
  • Draft internal audit reports and management letters that include clear, risk-rated findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Present completed fieldwork packages to the engagement manager for quality review.
  • Liaise with client process owners and finance teams to gather evidence and discuss audit observations.
  • Prepare and maintain risk-control matrices (RCMs) and audit programmes throughout the engagement.
  • Support the development of risk assessments and inputs for the annual internal audit plan.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with IIA International Standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Working knowledge of IIA International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • Strong understanding of the COSO 2013 Internal Control framework and ERM principles.
  • Ability to prepare risk-control matrices (RCMs), process flowcharts, and risk-based audit programmes.
  • Experience testing financial, operational, and compliance controls across diverse business processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for data analysis, Word for report writing, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of SAMA regulatory requirements and governance standards applicable to KSA and GCC entities is a plus.
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (*, IDEA, ACL, Power BI) or IT audit concepts is a differentiator.
  • Possession of a CIA qualification or active progress toward obtaining it is a strong advantage.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a contractual position with Agile Business Solutions LLP. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Direct client interaction is an expected component of this role, and candidates comfortable in such environments will be well-suited. The contract duration is 6 months, ending on December 31, 2026. Onsite travel to Riyadh for approximately 3-4 months may be required.
