About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Manager for its Marker Space Cultural Program. This full-time position is based in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. The role involves leading the development and execution of interactive maker space programs focused on crafts, creativity, and hands-on cultural experiences, contributing to Qiddiya's vision as a leading destination for entertainment, sports, and culture.

Role Purpose and Context

The purpose of this role is to spearhead the creation and delivery of engaging maker space programs. These programs are designed to foster creativity and provide hands-on cultural experiences for a diverse range of visitors. This initiative is part of Qiddiya's broader objective to diversify the economy and enhance quality of life through innovative and sustainable infrastructure and unique visitor experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop hands-on, interactive maker space programs aligned with cultural themes, including workshops and demonstrations for various audiences.
• Ensure the diversity and accessibility of all creative offerings.
• Identify, onboard, and manage artisans, creators, and facilitators, overseeing their schedules and workshop delivery.
• Ensure maker spaces are operationally ready, including the setup and maintenance of tools, materials, and safety measures, coordinating with Operations and Facilities Management.
• Oversee the delivery of workshops and interactive sessions, ensuring high levels of visitor participation and engagement while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Monitor program performance, tracking participation and engagement levels, and adjusting offerings based on demand and feedback.
• Manage the operating budget for the asset.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5–8+ years of experience in creative programming, workshop delivery, or hands-on cultural and educational experiences.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering interactive, hands-on programs, workshops, or maker space activities.
• Strong understanding of creative disciplines such as crafts, design, traditional making, or cultural production.
• Ability to develop engaging and accessible experiences for diverse audience groups.
• Experience working with artisans, craftspeople, creative practitioners, and facilitators.
• Experience coordinating multiple facilitators delivering parallel sessions.
• Proven ability to deliver interactive experiences in public-facing environments with high visitor engagement.
• Experience managing environments involving tools, materials, and equipment with hands-on visitor participation.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and risk management in workshop environments, ensuring safe and controlled delivery of activities.
• Experience managing physical creative spaces or studios, including setup, layout, and flow.
• Ability to plan and manage materials, inventory, and resource usage.
• Experience in maker spaces, innovation labs, creative hubs, museums, cultural institutions, interactive exhibitions, or public engagement programs.
• Exposure to traditional crafts or cultural making practices is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong facilitation and communication skills for direct audience engagement.
• Ability to coordinate space utilization for multiple simultaneous activities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role located in Riyadh Province, within the Qiddiya development. The role requires hands-on management of physical spaces and direct interaction with visitors and program facilitators.
