About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Mendix Developer - Technical Consultant for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications by integrating .NET backend development with the Mendix low-code platform. The position drives system integration, AI enablement, modernization initiatives, and platform governance, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using .NET Core.
• Build and maintain frontend and business applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
• Implement seamless integration between high-code (.NET) and low-code (Mendix) components.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, including Large Language Models (LLMs), predictive analytics, machine learning models, and automated document processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI-driven use cases and ensure secure, scalable AI deployment.
• Design and implement microservices architectures using .NET and develop RESTful APIs for system communication.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance across distributed systems and contribute to architectural decision-making.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Mendix platform, establishing and enforcing best practices in model-driven development, security, performance, and scalability.
• Define development standards, CI/CD processes, and governance frameworks.
• Lead modernization initiatives for legacy systems and migrate applications into hybrid cloud environments.
• Leverage low-code/no-code platforms for rapid UI prototyping and utilize .NET for complex business logic.
• Ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Conduct code and model reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and architectural artifacts.
• Mentor and guide junior developers in both high-code and low-code methodologies.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

Role Accountabilities

• Maintain and acquire updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively for efficient cost and time achievement.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
• Resolve related problems and escalate complex operational issues.
• Ensure quality requirements are met by developing effective quality control processes.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls.

Qualifications and Experience

The role requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant technical field. A strong understanding of both .NET backend development and the Mendix low-code platform is essential. Experience with system integration, AI capabilities, and cloud migration is expected.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a technical team focused on enterprise application development and modernization.
