About the Role

Talent Blueprint FZ LLC is seeking an experienced Power Infrastructure Manager to oversee the power infrastructure for a major international sporting event in Saudi Arabia. This contract role will be based across Riyadh and Jeddah, focusing on ensuring the safe, reliable, and uninterrupted delivery of electrical services for all event venues and operations.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Power Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, management, and oversight of all temporary and permanent power infrastructure requirements throughout the event lifecycle. This includes developing and implementing venue power strategies, distribution plans, and load schedules. The role involves close coordination with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and operational readiness of electrical systems.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and operational delivery of all power infrastructure across assigned venues and event sites.
  • Develop and manage venue power strategies, distribution plans, load schedules, and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate temporary power installations, including generators, UPS systems, switchboards, cabling, and electrical distribution networks.
  • Liaise with utility providers, consultants, contractors, venue owners, and technical suppliers to ensure power requirements are met on schedule.
  • Monitor the installation, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness of all electrical infrastructure.
  • Ensure power redundancy and backup systems are in place for critical event operations.
  • Collaborate with Venue Operations, Overlay, Broadcast, IT, Security, Technology, Competition, and Facilities teams to integrate power requirements.
  • Manage contractor performance, project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance during the delivery phase.
  • Oversee maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and rapid response to electrical or infrastructure issues during event operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international electrical standards, health and safety requirements, and project governance.
  • Produce technical documentation, progress reports, risk assessments, and operational updates for senior management.
  • Support venue testing, rehearsals, test events, and operational readiness activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess proven experience in managing power infrastructure for large-scale events. A strong understanding of electrical safety, risk management, and operational resilience is essential. The role requires excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple venues and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience managing power infrastructure for international sporting events, tournaments, major exhibitions, conferences, festivals, or large-scale live events.
  • Strong knowledge of temporary power systems, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, and venue infrastructure.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, utility providers, and multiple technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, risk management, and operational resilience.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple venues and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline. Professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel between Riyadh and Jeddah as required.

Preferred Background

Candidates with specific experience in major international sporting events are particularly encouraged to apply. This includes experience with high-profile tournaments and complex multi-venue projects.

  • Experience delivering power infrastructure for international football tournaments or other major sporting events.
  • Previous work on events such as FIFA, AFC, Olympic Games, Formula 1, motorsport, or comparable mega-events.
  • Experience managing temporary venue infrastructure, broadcast power, field of play power, and critical event systems.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex multi-venue projects with high operational and safety standards.

Work Arrangement

This is a contract position requiring travel between Riyadh and Jeddah as needed to support event operations across multiple locations in Saudi Arabia.
