About the Role: Professor of Biomedical Sciences

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Professor of Biomedical Sciences. This full-time position involves providing academic leadership through graduate-level teaching, research supervision, and the development of innovative research programs within the biomedical sciences field.

Core Academic Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and deliver graduate-level teaching in assigned biomedical disciplines, including molecular biology, genomics, immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
• Design and implement curricula aligned with international academic standards and Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements.
• Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary programs and strategic academic initiatives.

Research Leadership and Development

• Establish and lead independent and collaborative research programs consistent with KFSHRC's research priorities.
• Secure competitive research funding and publish a minimum of two publications per year in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, as per Alfaisal University policy.
• Collaborate with clinical, translational, and research teams across KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.

Mentorship and Professional Development

• Supervise and mentor PhD and MD-PhD students, ensuring high-quality academic and research outcomes.
• Participate in faculty development activities and foster a collaborative academic environment.
• Mentor junior faculty members and support their professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this professorial position are required to have 5 to 10 years of experience in biomedical sciences, demonstrating a strong background in academic leadership, teaching, and research. A terminal degree in a relevant biomedical field is expected.

• Proven ability to establish and lead independent and collaborative research programs.
• Demonstrated record of securing research funding and publishing in reputable journals.
• Experience in curriculum design and graduate-level teaching.

Institutional Alignment and Compliance

• Participate in academic governance, including departmental, school, and institutional committees.
• Contribute to accreditation processes, quality assurance, and program evaluation in alignment with MOE and NCAAA standards.
• Adhere to all King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre policies and procedures.
• Engage in continuous self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
