About the Project Manager (Mechanical) Role

King Salman International Airport is seeking a Project Manager (Mechanical) to oversee mechanical engineering projects in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Role Overview

The Project Manager (Mechanical) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the design and construction phases of mechanical engineering projects. The role ensures alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards, while managing execution to ensure safety, operational efficiency, and timely delivery of high-quality facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project charters and detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, costs, and resources.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and maintain communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, and key performance metrics.
• Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved plans, schedules, budgets, and standards.
• Evaluate change requests and assess their impact on scope, cost, and timelines.
• Ensure smooth project handover, including necessary permits, documentation, and operational readiness requirements.
• Review and coordinate designs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, fuel, and mechanical utility systems.
• Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical engineering standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve mechanical design and construction issues.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals related to mechanical systems.
• Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Support the resolution of escalated issues and provide assistance as required.
• Escalate complex issues to the relevant authority.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent is necessary.
• Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems design and construction.
• Knowledge of HVAC and building services.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in technical drawing review.
• Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management.
