About the Role

Mirai, a Scopely Studio, is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves driving automation excellence, mentoring quality engineers, and implementing modern quality engineering practices to enhance the quality of our games and platforms.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on leadership role for a highly technical quality professional. Working in close collaboration with the QA Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards across multiple projects. This involves building automation frameworks from the ground up, addressing complex testing challenges, and empowering teams through coaching and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and backend services that support our gaming ecosystem.
• Develop automated tests for functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing, analyzing results to identify root causes.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery practices.
• Collaborate with game teams and internal/external QA teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership to the Quality Engineering team, mentoring junior and senior engineers to enhance their automation and programming expertise.
• Conduct code reviews and lead training sessions on quality engineering best practices to promote high standards for maintainability and scalability.

Measuring Success

Success in this role will be measured by the following milestones:

• Within 30 Days: Map out the existing technical architecture and establish strong relationships with cross-functional game teams and external QA partners.
• Within 90 Days: Design or upgrade our core web automation framework and establish a structured code-review process for the QE team.
• Within 6 Months: Achieve a measurable reduction in manual regression cycle times and increase automated test coverage across critical paths.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in quality assurance and automation. A strong technical background in building and maintaining automation frameworks is essential. Experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams is also required.
