The Role: Senior Fraud Investigator

Tamara is seeking a Senior Fraud Investigator to join its Trust and Safety team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading complex investigations, identifying sophisticated fraud and financial crime patterns, and serving as a key partner to cross-functional stakeholders. The role focuses on driving prevention, enhancing controls, and ensuring operational excellence, while also mentoring junior investigators and contributing to the refinement of investigation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end investigations into high-risk or high-impact cases, including fraud, AML/financial crime typologies, account misuse, merchant abuse, and other suspicious activity.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis across multiple signals and sources to detect patterns, trends, and emerging threats.
  • Produce high-quality investigation reports with clear timelines, evidence, conclusions, and recommended actions.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Product, Data, and Engineering teams to improve detection rules, controls, and tooling, translating investigation findings into scalable solutions.
  • Provide coaching, case reviews, and guidance to other investigators to raise investigation quality and consistency.
  • Define and iterate on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance (QA) standards, and escalation criteria, helping to improve turnaround time and accuracy.
  • Communicate with customers and merchants (in Arabic and English) to verify details and resolve complex cases.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in fraud, risk operations, AML, transaction monitoring, or investigations.
  • Proficiency in using fraud/risk tooling and case management tools (*, Groupe IB, Sardine, Focal/Mozn, SEON).
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, persuasive investigation narratives.

Work Schedule

This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, nights, and/or holidays, as operational needs dictate.
