Director, Fraud Transformation Lead

OVI is seeking a Director, Fraud Transformation Lead to undertake a significant contract engagement with a leading Saudi bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading a major Fraud Transformation and regulatory remediation program within a banking environment.

Program Context

The Director will serve as the executive lead for a critical client engagement focused on enhancing the bank's fraud maturity. This involves overseeing key workstreams such as the enterprise-wide Fraud Risk Assessment and the remediation activities related to the SAMA Cyber Fraud Framework. The primary objective is to elevate the bank’s fraud maturity from Level 2 or 3 to Level 4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Fraud Transformation program.
  • Own the delivery of the enterprise-wide Fraud Risk Assessment.
  • Lead SAMA Cyber Fraud Framework remediation activities.
  • Develop remediation roadmaps to increase the bank’s fraud maturity.
  • Act as the primary executive stakeholder for the engagement.
  • Manage program governance, delivery quality, risks, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Lead workshops with senior client and banking stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly executive-level program updates.
  • Lead and mentor Senior Managers and delivery teams.
  • Ensure all workstreams align with the bank’s regulatory and transformation objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 12–20+ years of experience in fraud, financial crime, risk management, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience as a Director, Partner, Principal, or equivalent senior banking leader.
  • Extensive experience working with Saudi banks.
  • Expert knowledge of the SAMA Cyber Fraud Framework.
  • Proven experience leading Fraud Risk Assessments.
  • Experience delivering Fraud Transformation and regulatory remediation programs.
  • Strong program governance and delivery leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the Saudi banking sector, specifically in fraud and risk management. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex regulatory projects. Fluency in Arabic and prior experience with a Big Four consulting firm are considered advantageous.

Engagement Details

This is a contract position requiring full-time, on-site presence in Riyadh for the duration of the engagement. Candidates should be available to commence within two to four weeks. This opportunity offers the chance to lead a high-impact transformation program with a prominent Saudi bank.
