About the Role

Thales is seeking a Senior Legal Contracts & Compliance Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position supports the Director Legal, Contracts & Compliance in delivering comprehensive legal, contractual, governance, and compliance services across Thales entities in Saudi Arabia and Central Asia. The role is designed for a senior professional with strong leadership potential, contributing to risk management, compliance maturity, corporate governance, and contract lifecycle support, while serving as a trusted advisor and key interface with authorities and stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in strengthening local governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic transactions, and embedding a robust compliance culture, with a clear development path toward future leadership within the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive legal advice on Saudi and regional laws, regulations, and corporate requirements to the business.
  • Support all legal aspects of commercial operations, projects, bids, tenders, and contractual arrangements in coordination with contracts and commercial teams.
  • Assist in managing disputes, claims, and litigation, including coordination with external counsel.
  • Support legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies across business activities.
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle, including drafting, review, negotiation, and interpretation of commercial contracts.
  • Provide legal support to project teams on contractual risk, variations, claims, and dispute avoidance.
  • Ensure contract alignment with internal policies, compliance requirements, and delegation of authority.
  • Promote contractual best practices and contribute to the development of templates and guidance.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Thales' compliance framework, focusing on Antitrust & Competition Law, Anti-Corruption & Integrity, Data Protection & Privacy, and Third-Party Risk.
  • Assist with compliance risk assessments, investigations, and remediation actions.
  • Contribute to compliance reporting, training, and awareness programs.
  • Act as a local compliance ambassador and point of contact for business teams.
  • Support the management of corporate governance frameworks and corporate secretarial activities, including resolutions, powers of attorney, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Companies Law and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence and documentation.
  • Act as a key legal interface with Saudi authorities, regulators, and government entities.
  • Manage relationships with external law firms and advisors.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and act as a role model for ethics and professionalism.
  • Support the development of legal, compliance, and governance capabilities within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in legal, contracts, and compliance roles.
  • Strong experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably within multinational or complex regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated exposure to corporate governance, corporate secretarial work, commercial contracts, project-based environments, compliance programs, and regulatory/governmental interfaces.
  • Experience in defense, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or similarly regulated sectors is a strong advantage.
  • Master’s Degree in Law (** – Commercial Law, Corporate Law, or equivalent.
  • Fully qualified lawyer.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi laws and regulatory framework.
  • Exposure to international legal standards and comparative legal systems is a plus.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities

This includes actively participating in achieving HSE objectives, adhering to the HSE Thales Policy, and complying with local HSE laws and legislation. ·         إدارة العمليات اليومية للمطعم لضمان التشغيل بكفاءة وربحية وفقًا للميزانيات والإجراءات المعتمدة مسبقًا.

·         العمل بشكل مستمر على تحسين الأداء التشغيلي من خلال الاهتمام بالتفاصيل والالتزام بمعايير وإجراءات التشغيل المعتمدة، بما يحقق أقصى قدر من الأرباح ويقلل التكاليف إلى أدنى حد.

·         الإشراف الكامل على عمليات القسم الأمامي (FOH) والقسم الخلفي (BOH)، بما في ذلك على سبيل المثال لا الحصر: جودة المنتجات وطريقة تقديمها، صحة وسلامة الموظفين وبيئة العمل، معايير الخدمة، صيانة ونظافة المرافق والمعدات، الأنشطة الترفيهية، ورضا الضيوف.

·         ضمان وجود تواصل فعال وسلس بين موظفي القسم الأمامي والقسم الخلفي.

·         التأكد من تنفيذ جميع إجراءات التشغيل بما يتوافق مع سياسات وإجراءات التشغيل القياسية للشركة (الافتتاح، الإغلاق، الخدمة، التنظيف، وغيرها).

·         البقاء على اطلاع دائم بجميع خدمات الشركة والأنشطة الترفيهية والأطعمة والمشروبات المقدمة، وإبلاغ فريق العمل بأي تحديثات أو تغييرات يومية.

·         متابعة جميع التعاميم والإجراءات والعروض الترويجية الخاصة بالشركة، وإيصال أي مستجدات إلى فريق العمل.

·         إعداد ورفع تقارير أسبوعية وشهرية إلى مدير العمليات، تتضمن على سبيل المثال لا الحصر: المبيعات، رضا الضيوف، الأداء الفعلي مقارنة بالتوقعات، التحديات التشغيلية، والمقترحات التطويرية.

·         تحفيز الموظفين وتقديم التقدير والتوجيه اللازم لهم فيما يتعلق بمعايير السلوك والأداء المهني.

·         تطبيق سياسات وإجراءات الشركة بحزم والتأكد من التزام جميع الموظفين بها.

·         إعداد خطط تطوير مناسبة للموظفين بناءً على نقاط القوة والاحتياجات والطموحات المهنية والقدرات الفردية، بالتنسيق مع مدير العمليات.

·         التنسيق مع الإدارات المعنية لتلبية جميع المتطلبات التشغيلية اللازمة.

·         تحقيق الأهداف المالية للمطعم وضمان الأداء المالي المستهدف.

·         إدارة ومراقبة مخزون المنتجات، وطلب المواد والمستلزمات اللازمة، ومراجعة فواتير المشتريات الخاصة بالموردين بالتنسيق مع قسم المشتريات.

·         إدارة تقديم الخدمة لضمان تجربة متميزة للضيوف منذ لحظة وصولهم وحتى مغادرتهم.

·         الإشراف على جميع خدمات علاقات الضيوف وضمان تحقيق أعلى مستويات رضا العملاء.

Below JD is in brief:

1.      Manage our Restaurant daily operations to ensure that they operate efficiently and profitably as per pre-set budgets and procedures

2.      Continuously improve operational execution through attention to details and adherence to operating standards and philosophies, maximizing profits and minimizing costs.

3.      Control both FOH and BOH operations (Including but not limited to product quality and presentation, staff/workplace health and safety, service standards, maintenance and hygiene of facilities, equipment, entertainment, guest satisfaction, etc.)

4.      Ensure proper and efficient communication between BOH and FOH staff

5.      Ensure all the operations procedures are in line with our company standard operating procedures (opening, closing, service, cleaning etc.)

6.      Stay updated on all our company services, entertainment, food, and beverages offering; communicate daily changes to the team

7.      Stay updated on all our company memos, procedures, promotions, etc. and communicate changes to the team

8.      Submit to the head of operations a weekly, & monthly report, including but not limited to sales, guest satisfaction, actual performance versus forecast, operational concerns and suggestions for improvement

9.      Responsible for employee motivation and provide recognition and guidance on conduct standards

10.  Enforce our company policies and procedures strictly

11.  Create appropriate developmental plans based on employees’ individual strengths, needs, career aspirations, and abilities in coordination with operations manager.

12.  Coordinate with the concerned departments for the concerned requirements.

13.  Meet Restaurant financial objectives

14.  Control product inventory and order supplies and materials, control all suppliers purchase invoices in coordination with the procurement department.

15.  Manager service delivery to ensure excellence from guest arrival to departure

16.  All the guest relation services.
