About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Senior Manager - Commercial to oversee budget management, cost control, and comprehensive reporting for major transport infrastructure projects in Riyadh. This role is crucial for ensuring financial discipline, accurate forecasting, and detailed reporting to support strategic decision-making and project success.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - Commercial will be responsible for:

• Managing budgets and controlling costs for major transport infrastructure projects.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive reporting and forecasting systems.
• Ensuring accurate financial data and timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Providing strategic guidance on commercial and contract administration matters.
• Supporting the commercial team through periods of business change and evolving requirements.
• Managing and prioritizing the workload of the commercial and contract administration team.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in contracts, claims, and arbitration.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of commercial construction delivery experience, ideally with both contractor and consultancy backgrounds, and experience in program-wide roles.
• Experience in managing multiple major projects, conflicting priorities, and diverse stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading the Commercial Management of Major Projects within highly regulated, complex, and matrixed environments, covering the full project lifecycle from bidding to final account.
• Expertise in contracts, claims, and arbitration.
• Previous experience in KSA or the Middle East is preferred.
• Membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is preferred.

Essential Skills and Expertise

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Strong expertise in reporting and forecasting systems, including Power BI, PRISM, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas and project performance to various audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
• Leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and drive results.
• The ability to lead the commercial function's strategic direction and endorse or oppose practices as necessary.
• The ability to optimize workload in a deadline-driven environment.

Work Context

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a major program environment, managing multiple projects and complex stakeholder relationships.
