About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Design (Architecture) to join its Sports Business Unit in Riyadh. This role is responsible for leading the architectural design of sports facilities, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision for a premier entertainment and sports destination. The position oversees the architectural design process from conceptualization through to completion, focusing on delivering innovative, functional, and sustainable designs that meet international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design for sports assets, collaborating with the Development Lead, Senior Director of Design, Project Design Director, and Local Design Consultants (LDCs) and their sub-consultants.
• Ensure comprehensive coordination of design and engineering across all relevant disciplines.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure designs adhere to project budgets and timelines.
• Lead and manage weekly design meetings.
• Coordinate with the Master Developer as required.
• Verify that all assets comply with applicable building codes, including City Framework standards and federation-specific requirements.
• Stay informed of evolving building codes and ensure their adoption into designs.
• Monitor and ensure consultants meet their contractual deliverables.
• Review and provide comments or approvals on all design drawings and deliverables through the CRS process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 to 15 years of professional experience in architectural design.
• Significant experience in the design of sports facilities is essential.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino, among other relevant tools.
• Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex projects.
• Experience working within the Middle East region is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of sports architecture requirements for facilities such as stadiums and arenas, including related infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes.

Work Context

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role operates within the Sports Business Unit, contributing to the development of Qiddiya as a major entertainment and sports destination.
