The Role of Senior Risk Officer

Foodics is seeking a Senior Risk Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to developing and maintaining a robust risk management framework for the company. The Senior Risk Officer will ensure that all risk exposures are effectively mitigated, managed within the established risk appetite, and continuously monitored. The position requires the application of best practices in risk management and suitable measurements to comply with regulatory requirements and satisfy company shareholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the company’s risk management strategy in coordination with other functions.
• Establish and develop the Risk Management framework, policies, risk appetite, and associated applicable risk limits.
• Develop risk management related procedures to manage and maintain operational and financial objectives.
• Design and implement appropriate Risk Management methodologies, tools, techniques, and programs across the company, covering all risks including operational, credit, financial, reputational, and cyber security risks.
• Implement and conduct risk assessment and analysis across various functions and for new products.
• Perform risk assessments for the company’s strategic projects and documentation, including policies, procedures, agreements, and system implementation initiatives.
• Establish a continuous risk management monitoring role, including the development of early warning indicators and key risk indicators.
• Establish a comprehensive risk register covering all internal and external risks.
• Set up appropriate mechanisms for reporting and analyzing operational risk incidents, associated losses, and remedial actions.
• Develop periodic risk management awareness programs and foster a strong risk management culture across the company.
• Ensure the implementation of required risk transfer techniques, including mandatory or optional insurance, aligned with the company’s Risk Management strategy.
• Liaise with all functional heads to establish, maintain, and continuously improve risk management capabilities.
• Implement appropriate risk reporting aligned with local and international regulatory requirements, as well as board of directors and senior management oversight.
• Enhance and implement a business continuity plan into business lines and critical functions, supporting functions in understanding risk impacts to daily operations, and managing risks effectively in coordination with technology and cyber security functions.
• Keep abreast of developments in risk management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Manage assigned ad hoc assignments for regulatory bodies, committees, and senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a risk management role.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player with a positive mindset.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at Foodics' headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
