Role Overview

The Sr. Engineer - Coordinator (BIM) is central to coordinating model information across disciplines within the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Asset. This role involves the collaborative production, maintenance, and dissemination of unified building information models and associated construction documents for various projects. The position demands strong proficiency with industry-standard tools, particularly Autodesk software packages such as Revit and Navisworks, and experience implementing 5D BIM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and adopt company values.
• Support project teams of architects, engineers, and builders in producing fully integrated, comprehensive, and detailed 5D/6D building information models that encompass all building subsystems.
• Maintain models to be up-to-date, organized, and readily accessible to all project team members.
• Perform clash detections and collaborate with project partners to resolve identified issues.
• Work closely with the BIM Manager to refine the BIM software stack and BIM creation process.
• Utilize BIM authoring tools, such as Revit, to develop models at prequalification and tender stages for bids and works proposals.
• Employ coordination and review tools like Navisworks for federating models, coordinating, clash detection, and report generation.
• Use simulation tools, such as Navisworks, in conjunction with project schedules to produce 4D simulations.
• Ensure a thorough understanding and ability to produce all deliverables required for Level 2 BIM, including BIM execution plans, MPDTs, MIDPs, and COBie outputs.
• Utilize Common Data Environments (CDEs) and data management software tools like Viewpoint and Vault, with experience in Information Management based on BS1192 principles.
• Attend meetings with consultants, cost control, planning, and engineering departments.
• Ensure BIM is continuously updated throughout the construction process, incorporating all agenda items, approved change orders, field orders, clarifications, RFIs, and as-built drawings.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Design Engineer or Project Coordinator.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic is considered a plus.
• Demonstrated BIM skills.
• Mandatory proficiency in specific software applications, especially Navisworks and Revit.
• AutoCAD application design skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong engineering knowledge and BIM design coordination capabilities.
• Demonstrated practical knowledge in QA/QC Management, Project Management, and Contractual Management.

Additional Experience (A Plus)

Experience with Dynamo, 6D BIM, or BIM 360 is advantageous for this role.
