About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Personal Survival Pack Technician Supervisor to join the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation in Taif. This full-time role involves deputising for a senior employee and overseeing aspects of the Personal Survival Pack Shop. The supervisor will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and manage line responsibilities, including functional direction, duty of care, welfare, and health & safety.

Role Objective

The primary objective of this position is to ensure the effective delivery of all activities outlined in the shop component repair plan. This role is critical in supporting the success of the Salam Project by contributing to the Maintenance Support Service's contracted Operational Readiness (OR) and Key Performance Measurements (KPM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold a safety-first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines to protect personnel, product, and operations, while supporting Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety & Environment (PS&E).
  • Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety, and continual improvement, identifying opportunities for new processes and procedures.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement (CI) within the maintenance organization, encouraging innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review maintenance practices, identify potential improvements, and address any malpractice affecting airworthiness or safety.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary facilities and resources, monitor personnel standards, and manage development reports for direct and indirect line management.
  • Provide training and counterpart development activities to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
  • Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment, ensure correct tooling and approved data are available, and report deficiencies.
  • Ensure all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorised, maintain anti-FOD surveillance, and conduct oversight checks for shop husbandry.
  • Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker personal survival pack authorisations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 5-10 years in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to deputise for a senior employee and manage a team.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and airworthiness regulations, including RSAF Logistics Management Regulations.
  • Proficiency in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to provide functional direction, guidance, and ensure duty of care, welfare, and health & safety.

Work Environment

This role is based in Taif, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation. The position requires fostering a professional working environment built on trust, where all employees adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct.
