About the Opportunity

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management. This opportunity is for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Areas of Specialization

The department is seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise in specific areas across Information Systems and Operations Management. Applicants should highlight their specialization within these fields.

• Information Systems: Systems Analysis and Design, Business Analytics, Data Management, Management Support Systems (DSS, ES, EIS, ANN, etc.), E-Commerce & Digital Business Models, AI in Business and Society, Internet Technologies and Web Applications, Digital Transformation.
• Operations Management: Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Operations Management, Quantitative Methods, Optimization, Simulation, Stochastic Modeling, Management Sciences, Decision Sciences and Risk Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to engage actively in teaching, research, and student mentorship. A strong commitment to quality education and student interaction is essential for this role.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses relevant to their field of specialization.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career paths.
• Supervise Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) theses and dissertations.
• Develop and lead funded research programs appropriate to their area of expertise.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A strong record of published research in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising the research of graduate students.
• Relevant teaching experience at the university level.
