About the Opportunity at Nestlé

Nestlé is seeking an Assistant Manager Medical Representation to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the ethical detailing of Nestlé Infant Nutrition products within an assigned territory, ensuring accurate information is communicated to medical and paramedical contacts. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience in the field.

Role Overview and Ethical Standards

The Assistant Manager Medical Representation is responsible for clearly communicating accurate information regarding Nestlé Infant Nutrition products, including their features, benefits, and appropriate use. All activities must strictly comply with guidelines established by NME Nutrition, the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes, Nestlé Instructions, and local country codes, particularly concerning mothers who are unable or choose not to breastfeed. A core aspect of this role is promoting Nestlé’s belief that Breastfeeding is Best for Babies and is recommendable over all other feeding alternatives for infants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable information on infant nutrition and infant feeding practices to medical and paramedical contacts, addressing areas relevant to their regular practice.
  • Participate in the organization and execution of scientific meetings focused on Product Knowledge, Nutrition, or related topics, including sponsorship meetings and guest lecturer invitations.
  • Monitor and report competitor activities, including new products and communication strategies, to the Medical Field Manager.
  • Maintain proper records and registers for all correspondence and actions undertaken in daily activities.
  • Identify and maintain relevant information on all contacts within the assigned territory through a master list, including classification based on interest and importance, and by regular call card completion.

Stakeholder Engagement and Market Intelligence

This role involves continuous engagement with key medical and paramedical professionals to ensure they receive accurate and up-to-date information on infant nutrition. A proactive approach to understanding the market landscape is essential, including tracking competitor strategies and product introductions to inform internal planning and response. Effective communication and meticulous record-keeping are critical for success in this area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, Nutrition, or Biology.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Delegate is desirable.

Experience and Work Type

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of professional experience, ideally within a medical representation capacity. This is a full-time position based in Medina, Saudi Arabia, requiring a commitment to ethical practices and continuous professional development within the field of infant nutrition.
