Role Overview

The Market Intelligence & Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and identifying new opportunities within the textile sector. This role is central to optimizing purchasing decisions by providing strategic recommendations based on comprehensive market analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor textile market trends, customer demand, and seasonal requirements.
• Conduct competitor research on products, pricing, quality, and market positioning.
• Identify new fabrics, products, and market opportunities.
• Recommend purchasing decisions regarding product type, timing, quantity, and supplier selection.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Compare supplier quotations and landed costs.
• Analyze sales and inventory data to support purchasing decisions.
• Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and potential dead-stock items.
• Support product pricing and gross-margin analysis.
• Prepare regular market, competitor, and purchasing reports for management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant commercial or purchasing role within the textile industry.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Saudi textile market.
• Proven ability to conduct market research and analysis.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
