About the Operations Supervisor Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a dedicated Operations Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is central to ensuring operational efficiency and productivity within our facilities. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for motivating a team to meet established targets and productivity expectations, aligning with overall company goals.

Team Leadership and Operational Oversight

As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the daily management of departmental duties and team performance. This involves closely tracking team attendance and workflow, and collaborating with the Shift Manager to proactively identify and resolve operational issues as they arise. Your leadership will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of productivity and operational flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily management of department operations and duties.
• Assign work to associates as needed to support workflow and achieve daily production KPIs and goals.
• Conduct standup briefs, deliver associate feedback, perform floor audits, and carry out vehicle inspections.
• Assist in the training and up-skilling of new associates.
• Support the tracking, trending, and reporting of departmental metrics by associates.

Process Improvement and Compliance

• Support the analysis and understanding of factors contributing to success and failure in meeting departmental delivery and FC KPIs/goals.
• Track, report, and maintain associate hours and schedules.
• Review and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents as required to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify and address safety hazards within the workplace and actively participate in safety initiatives.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of workflow, daily production goals, and the number of associates present each day to optimize resource allocation.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role operates within a dynamic work environment that requires flexibility. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, for 40 hours per week, with overtime as required. The position also involves physical demands, including the ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
